In this role you will help us pack grocery bags for families in south Seattle. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are delivering groceries to our guests that are unable to come to the food bank. With your help, we can pack and deliver up to 500 grocery bags per day. Volunteers must wear a mask at all times. You will be asked by staff to show proof of vaccination upon arrival. Update 6/1/22: Please wear N95 or KN95 if you are able, masks still required at RVFB.

Arrival:RVFB is located at 9021 Rainier Ave S. Please enter our parking lot from the backside of the building on 50th Ave S, which runs parallel to Rainier Ave S. We are just past Bank of America. If you are using GPS, use 9074 50th Ave S (henderson should be nearest intersection) as your destination. Volunteer parking is to your immediate right when you enter through the gate. If no spaces are available there, there is street parking on 50th Ave S.

These shifts are only for drivers that have already been onboarded and trained with us. If you are interested in being a driver, please email volunteer@rvfb.org. Drivers must have their own vehicle and agree to a background check for the safety of our clients. 

Help support in person distribution at RVFB on Fridays and Saturdays. There are 2 shifts. You may choose to sign up for both, we will close for a 30 min lunch between shifts.

Volunteer Tasks may include:

Setting up the warehouse for in person shopping, handing out numbers to clients in line, line/parking lot management, helping clients select their groceries and load up as needed, keeping the food stocked, help clean up the space after shopping is finished.

**MASKS and proof of vaccination REQUIRED at all times while at RVFB.**

Bi/multilingual volunteers especially encouraged to sign up. Common languages needed: Cantonese, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, Vietnamese, and many more!
